At generation adidas international we are proud to offer unique opportunities for clubs to have an experience that is valuable and unforgettable for players, coaches and parents. For teams, the idea of training with UEFA A-licensed coaches at top academies in Europe and South America is exciting in itself. If you add the feature of playing friendly matches against same-level opponents from the country where you are based, it makes the trip even more attractive.

But the 2018 Russia World Cup Team Training Program is simply more unique than any others since international events like the FIFA World Cup happen only once every four years and your group will find the excitement level for attending World Cup matches will be incredibly high and forever memorable.

Russia was awarded hosting rights for the 21st FIFA World Cup tournament, which will be played in 11 different cities around the country next summer. The dates for the entire World Cup tournament are June 14 – July 15, 2018 (your program dates are June 20-29, 2018). Kaliningrad is one of the cities selected to host matches and it is truly unique as it is the only venue geographically separated from the rest of Russia within an area known as Kaliningrad Oblast. It is surrounded by Lithuania, Poland and the Baltic Sea.

Important FAQ

Are tickets to 2018 World Cup matches included in the package?

It is important to know that match tickets for 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia are NOT INCLUDED in the program’s landed package price. The reasons for this policy are two-fold. First, we cannot guarantee match tickets until a complete purchase is made with our sources. And ticket purchases are not yet available for the tournament at this time. Second, we do not have standard choices for seats for each World Cup game therefore the location of seating and the value of the tickets varies depending upon size of group and availability/popularity of the game(s).

We will make tickets available. Our success rate with attaining tickets to special event matches is outstanding. But it is also important to realize the process for tickets purchase usually takes place in a very short period of time. For instance, once we announce the match selected and the price per ticket for your group on a given day, we can normally only give travelers 24-48 hours to make a decision since tickets will be in high demand and ticket sources always provide very tight deadlines. If the game and price are acceptable for your family, then we will purchase the tickets for you and add the price to your account for online payment. All ticket purchases/payments must be paid before departure.

Do I need a VISA?

For Poland, US citizens may enter the country for business or tourism purposes VISA-FREE for up to 90 days, so there are no worries there. To enter Russia, ordinarily a US citizen must possess a valid passport and bona fide visa issued by the Russian Consulate. HOWEVER, for the purposes of successfully hosting the 2018 World Cup, Russia has announced it is waiving the visa requirement IF the traveler possesses match tickets for the FIFA World Cup next summer.

A “2018 FIFA World Cup Fan ID Card” will be issued to each person who has a ticket (details on this item to come later). The Fan ID will be needed when going to each game in Kaliningrad, Russia. If a traveler does not have tickets to a World Cup match, then a visa is required to enter the country.
